Elderberry – a forgotten miracle

In forest glades, quite often you can find a tall shrub with grayish-brown bark, opposite leaves and small white flowers collected in large inflorescences. In August-September, clusters of small black berries appear on the spot of flowers. It is a grass elderberry. And let the elderberry is not as attractive and beautiful as its closest relatives – viburnum and honeysuckle, but for a person it is no less useful. In many countries, the fruits of different types of elderberry are highly valued. They are eaten raw with sugar, they prepare juices, syrups, mousses. The branches of some types of elderberry go to weaving baskets and hoops, and the wood, which is well preserved in the ground and water, goes to piles, stamens, as well as to turning products and musical instruments. In Russia, from time immemorial, elderberry clusters were polished by samovars to a copper shine, used to color them in olive silk, put into grape wine to enhance color and give it a musky taste. Bark from young twigs drove out flies, mosquitoes, moths and other insects from the house. However, at present, elderberry is not very popular among doctors, and perhaps they have been forgotten in vain.
An amazing plant is a grass elderberry. All of it, from the first leaves from which spring vitamin tea is brewed, the most delicate fragrant flowers that treat our lungs and bronchi, and ending with the roots that help with cancer of the stomach and other internal organs – it is all our pharmacy. But the berries! Berries are a special article. Black, glossy, poured with sweet juice with a special, piquant aroma, sprinkled with sugar 1: 1, they give a plentiful syrup in two weeks.

It is used for blood diseases (leukemia, lymphogranulomatosis) and lymphatic system, mastopathy, uterine fibroids, female inflammation, goiter, chronic constipation. It is also used to treat rheumatism, gout, arthritis, osteochondrosis, kidney disease, muscle inflammation. This high-vitamin product has a bactericidal effect and can be drunk by both adults and children for the prevention of viral diseases, especially during exacerbation of influenza.
For prevention and for pleasure, you can drink elderberry syrup 1 dessert spoon after eating 3 times a day. Drink one month, then take a break for 2 weeks and again you can drink a month, etc.
